1. These are two octopus, both colors incorporated with the sea. I made them out of plastic bottles and cut them up for the legs. They have eyes, and only eyes so, so they're not realistic. I used paper mache over the water bottles and then painted over that. My inspiration was Ma Li, because she made kinetic sculptures as well that mine tried to mimic. I
2. The elements of design I used were color, shape, form, and value. I incorporated all these elements in different kinds of ways. They all helped create the sculpture I wanted to create.
3. The purpose of my sculpture was to show trash in the ocean. People around the world use the ocean as a big trash can, even though it is the total opposite. I showed this by using a common item found in oceans, to create a creature living there and is effected by this. The colors I chose represent a clean vs dirty ocean. The light blue octopus represents a cleaner body of water because when you to the beach, you are more likely to be dying to get into a clear, clean water. The bark blue octopus represents a dirtier water because it's dark and you don't really know what is In it and it's not pleasant looking.
4. I like my sculpture because it turned out how I pictured it. It reflects the purpose I intended to go for. They are also kind of funny looking, and I liked that. My papa mache job could've been better, although. Some parts are more rough than others which bothers me.
