- This is a vessel that is put together by many geometric slabs. Two sides are squares that have three layers. Each layer is another square that is one square inch smaller. The main square is a 5x5, the second is 4x4, and the third is 3x3. On the adjacent sides of each square are trapezoids. The trapezoids are also split into three layers. Although you cannot make a trapezoid by having 4 congruent side lengths, the base of each trapezoid is the same as the squares. The main trapezoid has a 5in base, then a 4in base, then a 3in base. If you look at the vessel from above you see a tall thin trapezoid.
- The elements of design I used were lines, shape, texture, size, and will eventually color
- My purpose is to use my vessel as a pen/pencil cup. I wanted to make it tall and large enough s that it could be used in an office, or a classroom. I choose to add the layers to make it different. I could’ve just made it with the walls and no extra layers, but that would be original.
- I do like my vessel. I like it because it will serve the purpose that I had intended. I like the way it turned out because sometimes you plan stuff out and it doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to. The only issues I have is that not all the shapes are perfect, so it kind of looks off. Not all parts of it are smoothed out and even. I am content, though, because I know that it’s the best it can be and it can still serve the purpose I wanted it to.
